Welcome to the Sunday School at Islamic School of Miami !!!

Located in Miami, Florida, the sunday school provides education in Islamic studies to students from Pre-K through the 12th Grade, as well as to the adults.

Established in 1995, Sunday School at Islamic School of Miami is committed to bringing together several elements of Islamic Studies that are essential to any young Muslim. This program strives to offers a safe, caring and nurturing educational environment that promotes Islamic values and their integration into all aspects of life.

The school with the help of parents and community assists the student in developing self-esteem, confidence and to become responsible and contributing members of both the Islamic community and the global society.

We have about 20 highly dedicated teachers, staff members and volunteer, teaching over 100 students on Sundays.  Some of the areas that are being covered at the Sunday School include:

• Basic Arabic
• Quran reading/recitation and memorization
• Tawheed and Aqeedah
• Sunnah and Seerah
• Essentials and Practices (Fiqh)
• Islamic History
• Islamic Akhlaq

All Praise be to Allah (SWT). Insh’Allah, I hope this message reaches you in the best state of Iman, health, and prosperity. First of all, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning families from the last school year. We are looking forward to a new year filled with a lot of learning and many exciting and new experiences. I hope our students and their parents are as excited as I am to begin the new school year

I am pleased to share that we have developed an effective and challenging program that will be implemented by dedicated and caring teachers. The Sunday School at Islamic School of Miami will provide a new spirit, an innovative learning environment, most up-to-date curriculum and fresh approaches in teaching.

The curriculum focuses on Islamic studies including learning to read the Holy Quran, teaching proper Salat and knowledge in the light of Quran and Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

The school can only help in few aspects as I truly believe it takes the entire community to develop future leaders, who follow the path of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). In this regard, the Sunday school is our sincere and humble attempt to shape and groom our young generation to become the future leaders.

It is extremely important to realize that the school can only be successful if we have the support and involvement of parents as they play a vital role in the success of their children. Thus, it is imperative that the parents maintain consistent communication with the school regarding the progress and well-being of their children.
